NLS Undergraduate Admission 2023 Process, Eligibility Criteria
Admission to the B.A., LL.B.(Hons.) Degree programme is purely based on merit as assessed through a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted by the CLAT Committee constituted for the purpose.
Eligibility Criteria
- The student must pass the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an examination equivalent securing in the first attempt, not less than 50% (45% for SC / ST candidates and persons with disability).
- No age limit for candidates to apply for admissions. But for candidates belonging to SC / ST and persons with a disability, the maximum age limit shall be 22 years.
- Those students who do not clear the qualifying examination with the required marks are not eligible for admission.
- Candidates whose Statement of marks of the qualifying examination is not available at the time of formal interviews are also not eligible for admission.
- The University reserves the right to cancel the admission of any candidate in accordance with the Rules.
NLS Postgraduate Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria, Process
The university offers a One-Year LL.M. Degree programme in two distinct and separate Branches of specialization, Business Laws & Human Tight Laws. Candidates can join one out of these both. Once admitted to a chosen branch, the admission is final and is not open to change. The admission to the chosen branch will be however determined by the inter ranking at the CLAT.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have BA LL.B Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
- Applicants should secure a minimum 55% marks in the bachelor’s degree (50% marks required for SC/ST/candidate with Disability).
